Hot Jazz at the Carnegie: Finger snappin’, toe tappin’, head boppin’ hot music with the Carnegie Jazz Band, comprised of enthusiastic amateur jazz musicians and premiere vocalist and Vancouver blues queen Dalannah Gail Bowen under the wonderful tutelage of multi-instrumentalist and composer Brad Muirhead. This special evening of hot jazz from the Downtown Eastside features new jazz compositions by members of the band and the community, including: Patrick Foley, Randy Morrison, Brad Muirhead, Mike Richter, Gerry Teahan and Gary Wildeman. Expect something different as each composition, just like our DTES community, is as unique as the composer!
