There are also special displays on some of the teams that make up the police force, including the Mounted Squad, the Dog Squad, the Marine Squad and others. THE EVOLUTION OF INSPIRATION
Opening Reception Friday November 6, 8pm-1am
Gallery Atsui, 602 E. Hastings
Exhibition November 6 to 28

“If history had worked out differently, and Michelangelo had been commissioned to paint a ceiling for a giant Museum of Science, mightn’t he have produced something at least as inspirational as the Sistine Chapel?” Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion
With that question in mind and with 2009 being the bicentennial of Charles Darwin’s birth, and November coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s seminal work On the Origin of Species, Gallery Atsui sets out to explore contemporary visual artists whose work is “science inspired.” For more information: www.galleryatsui.com or email: info@galleryatsui.com.
